Quantity Surveyor

Dallas’ experience spans over fourteen years in the Construction, Quantity Surveying and Project Management industries.

He is registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with The South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (No. IT5924).

He also holds a National Diploma in Building (No. 970593) and a Bachelor’s Technical degree in Quantity Surveying (No. 19990330) from the Port Elizabeth Technikon.

His career began after completing his studies at the Port Elizabeth Technikon in 1998 where he achieved a Merit Award for Academic Excellence for his Second Level of ND Building.
From the beginning of 1999 to April 2002 Dallas worked for Rumdel Construction in East London where he performed all Quantity Surveying duties including Tendering etc. in Civil Construction Works.

This included site based working on a 45 Million Rand Roads Project in the Transkei.

From May 2002 to May 2007 Dallas Worked for R&R Construction in King Williams Town as a Quantity Surveyor and Construction Project Manager. His duties included Tendering, Monthly Certificates, Programming of Projects, Ordering of Materials, Liaison and co-ordination with Sub-Contractors, Final Accounts etc. and the overseeing of Projects led by Professionals.

As of June 2007, Dallas joined Roeleveld Quantity Surveyor’s.

Dallas’ duties include overall financial control of projects starting with Measuring of Bills, Estimating, adjudicating Tenders, Budget and Cash flow Control, Liaison and Co-ordination with Clients and Contractor’s, monthly Payment Valuations and certificates, Chairing of Site Meetings and preparing Minutes, Monthly Reporting, Project Management, assessment of existing Structures, Fee Claims, and   Close Out Reports including Final Accounts on Completion of Projects.
